The Worst Day Ever

Today I had the worst day ever. It was really sad because I had slept in while my netball game was on! I didn’t wake up til’ 9:30am and it was on a 9:00am, so we had to rush really quickly into the car so my mum could drop me off. But when I got there the last quarter was started and wasn’t allowed on because I hadn’t done any warm ups or anything :(. I felt really sad because I did a big mistake of sleeping in. But in the end our team had won the game!! I was really proud of them too.
Another bad thing that happened at the netball court was I was told that Nikita sprained her ankle really bad.
I guess it was true that Friday the 13th is a bad day because it was Saturday the 14th!!

Asian Paper Wasp

Asian Paper Wasp

Asian Paper Wasp

The Asian Paper Wasp is an insect.  Like any other insect it has Abdomen,  a Thorax,  a head and also Mandibles.   (Mouth parts)  they have red legs,  and a brown abdomen and Thorax.  The Asian Paper Wasp is smaller than all the other Wasps around the world.
They like¬†to¬†live in sunny places, ¬†away from the wind and the rain. ¬†Female Asian paper wasps make the nest, ¬†they make it out of paper, saliva and soft wood off¬†deckers or¬†off trees. ¬†In the Spring when the¬†female has made her nest she makes a special shiny coating to make it waterproof. ¬†Then lays the eggs in the cells inside the nest. ¬†Those are called ‘Lavae,’ ¬†when the lavae is grown it has to be look after by another Adult wasp.
Asian Paper Wasps eat¬†caterpillars, ¬†fruit, ¬†invertebrates¬†and¬†nectar from flowers.¬† (Which isn’t made into honey! ¬†Just eaten which is BAD!!)¬† Every year, ¬†in autumn the male Asian paper wasps don’t survive and die. ¬†While the¬†female wasp hibernates.
